Lymphatic Massage – Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, is a specialized technique that uses gentle, rhythmic movements to facilitate lymph flow. It is used to support the management of lymphedema, helping to reduce swelling and discomfort.

At the Lydia Rehabilitation Center, the treatment is tailored to each individual’s needs following an evaluation of their medical history and clinical presentation. The treatment area and the frequency of sessions are determined based on the therapeutic indications.

Lymphatic drainage can be part of a comprehensive treatment plan for lymphedema, along with appropriate exercise, skin care, and compression, when indicated. The goal is to manage the swelling and support daily functioning.

With respect for each person’s needs, we emphasize safe application and personalized care, with the goal of making daily life more comfortable.
