Following a referral from the physiotherapist and in continuous cooperation with him, the occupational therapist evaluates and designs an individualized intervention program for the patient. With a scientific approach, using modern technology, but also with experiential simulation in a specially designed training room, he helps the patient to develop and improve motor, cognitive and perceptual skills. By providing arm weight support, Armeo Spring allows patients, to use any motor functions and encourages them to achieve a greater number of reaching and grasping movements based on specific therapeutic goals. <\/p>\n<p>As all activity during training is based on the patient&#8217;s own movements, this repeated training leads to better, faster and improved long-term results. Armeo Spring allows for hand training in a three-dimensional environment with six axes of rotation. This enables patients to practice movements that are important both for the progress of their treatment and for their daily life. The ergonomic and adjustable exoskeletal component of the Armeo spring embraces the entire arm, from shoulder to wrist, and compensates for the weight of the patient&#8217;s arm. Built-in sensors record active movements and all joint angles during treatment.    <\/p>\n<p>An extensive library of movement games is designed to train patients in basic movements that they commonly use in their daily lives. It can be used in patients with neurological disorders, after hand surgery or in orthopaedics. Reha-Digit stimulates the hand&#8217;s motor-receptors. The device can also apply vibration and pressure stimuli and can vary speed to restore sensory and motor capabilities.   <\/p>\n<p>The smooth movements of Reha-Digit gently and continuously move the fingers, which leads to improved blood circulation and therefore improved metabolic function. It also removes accumulated lymph and leads to improved mobility of the fingers and the entire hand. <\/p>\n<p>The repeated and continuous movements, as well as the gentle vibration of the Reha-Digit, reduce spasticity in the fingers. This device is aimed at rehabilitation of the arm of patients with unilateral damage after stroke, paralysis, head injury, spastic infantile paralysis and joint injuries. <\/p>\n<p>In REHA-SLIDE therapy, the affected side of the body is guided by the healthy side, resulting in the reactivation of the affected side of the brain through stimulation. Additional training through bilateral exercise is intended to activate the affected side. <\/p>\n<p>In stroke patients, the phenomenon of interdependence of the limbs is observed in many cases. For example, to bend the elbow, patients move their healthy side together to facilitate movement.
